Slowest (2009)

A work consisting of flipbooks and bookshelves.

Each book is composed of 300 images of waves recorded at a speed of 300 frames per second. The project aims to produce 300 bookshelves, each containing 300 of these books.

The work is based on a conception influenced by Borges's "The Library of Babel." That is, it is conceived as an attempt to encompass every possible variation of "movement" in the world.

It is intended as a counterpart to *Fastest*, a work of projection and reflection; both share a structure in which the technical foundation of image-making — in this case, the flipbook — is laid bare.
