The August performance in the 12 Months of the Monster and Mr. Boredom series by core of bells.

The entire venue is transformed into a giant maze, partitioned by translucent plastic panels designed by Kiguchi into eight rooms and a complex network of corridors. The audience participates in a game conducted within this maze.

Audience members are each given a pair of work gloves, and are randomly assigned to the role of "demon" or "sinner" according to what is written on the inside. They must behave so as not to reveal to other participants whether they are a "demon" or a "sinner," while following the game master's guidance; each time "night" falls within the maze, rounds of "demon killing" and "sinner killing" are repeated until one side is entirely eliminated.

These are the ostensible rules of the game. In reality, however, not a single pair of gloves is inscribed with "sinner" — every participant is a "demon," and so the game can never progress. As the participants stand in rooms with their eyes closed, stomping their feet, the staff proceed to dismantle the maze around them. Eventually the game master's guidance ceases altogether, and all that remains in the venue are the heaped ruins of the dismantled maze.
